Ford Motor announced that it is planning the construction of the third assembly plant in China to increase the sets of applicable iun of growing and evolving market long dominated by competition.
The carmaker will invest 490 million U.S. dollars for a factory to be built in the southwestern city of Chongqing. The plant will be operated with a Chinese partner and Japan’s Mazda Motor.

USA: CONSUMER CONFIDENCE TO THE MAXIMUM January 2008
The Michigan index on consumer confidence in U.S. rises to highest level since September to January 2008 and changed from 65.7 to 73.5 points, 70.3 points more than the expected. The index of consumer expectations advancing 73.5 points, the maximum of two years, against 65 points in August. The index on the situation grows at 73.4 points from 66.6 in August.
